oh really worse than i thought.

Thread of the year here.

Yeah, lets see what it will be, lets say at the all-star break... that is, if Sweeney stays and starts.

His starts have come without Thome and he just started producing on a regular basis. I'd say 1 game over is pretty good and they'd be much worse without him.

Sox are:

5-2 when Sweeney gets a hit

4-0 when Sweeney gets an RBI

4-0 when Sweeney scores a run

5-0 when Sweeney has an RBI or run

So basically, when Sweeney produces, the Sox win.

Or maybe it's just coincidence? It's amazing how quick some are to jump on a guy's bandwagon (not talking about you, RME, just people in general), then tear them down as soon as they go 0/4 again. Ryan has done a solid job to this point, but let's wait a little while longer before we deem him the second coming.

I was being a little sarcastic, but I know what you mean. I was actually surprised at some of those records after I looked them up though.

I was impressed with the rookies approach at the plate, The swing looked good and he also was patient. It would be great if Brioan Anderson came around like this too. They could be playing in the Sox OF together in a year or two

Ryan Sweeney rocks your world, even if he has a bad game.

I like Sweeney and won't bury him by any means.

However, his out today was the key out in the game.

If he rifles a hit off DeLaRosa with bases loaded

and two outs it's a different game.

Yet another no name lefty mows down the Sox.

Konerko where are you???? Jermaine???? Joe???

iguchi's k looking was much worse than sweeney's out.

Anything Ryan Sweeney does from this point on is a bonus to me.

Where the hell are the JD's? Konerkos? Crede? The veterans of this team look like lost rookies just called up from the big leagues......while our lone rook in the line-up looks like an polished patient veteran at the plate. Kinda funny......and kinda sad.

Their stats at this point are unacceptable.....their approach is even MORE unacceptable.

It seriously looks we have no game plan up there what-so-ever, and that is unacceptable more than anything else. Every player is swining for the fences. We're very fortunate to be over .500 with this anemic offense.

Unforunately it appears we will continue to beat this horse to death, that is until we start hitting.....or....until Greg Walker is fired.
