Can We Get an Ozzie Update

... I can't wait to hear what he says about this one.

Its going to be the highlight of the rest of the season. The games are pretty meaningless at this point. Ozzie's press conferences are going to be classic. I bet you they have a team official nearby to make sure he doesn't say something that would get him in too much trouble.

I was quite impressed with his self-control last night.

He sounds rather calm... I think he's done with this team.

Well? What's he saying?

Talked a little about Uribe's error. Said he's a good player just makes a few mental mistakes...

Pretty much a little of the same old... said whenever Pods gets back hopefully they can get on a roll. Talked about the different atmosphere when playing the Cubs... not a whole lot.

Yep. I'd imagine. What CAN you say at this point?

This has been like a horror reel repeating since July '06.

We need Ozzie to start drinking before the press conferences...

I agree 100%. Hell during the games too.

"Take over Joey...I'm in the bag..."

Damn, that was uneventful. Last nights press conference made me applaud him.

It is the only entertainment anymore. It sucks trying to watch this crap on the field.

"I'm the only guy who has to sit here every day and talk to you about this ballclub, but it's a joke. It's the truth. We have to apologize to the fans who show up to watch this thing. I'm tired of watching this, day in and day out. You thought I was a good manager? Well, look at me now. I'm not that good, then. You are as good as your players are. We are all here together. I have faith, and you have 35,000 fans in the stands who have faith and believe in us, but I don't think the players believe in themselves. The players should feel the same way I do. Day in and day out, it's the same stuff and I'm tired [of] it. ... I'm tired of being positive. I'm tired of being the [rah-rah] guy and 'Let's go, let's go, let's go. If I have to be the guy they don't want me to be, I will be. Blame the players, too. I take the blame because I run the ballclub, but once in a while. ... Every move I make is the wrong move. Why? Because they aren't supporting me and doing the things they're supposed to do."

^ Wasn't that from yesterday?

I didn't see it posted on here yet.
