I'm glad he pitched well. I guess reality is something Javy fans just want to avoid. He pitches several gems every year, but in the end its right around .500 with a mediocre ERA.

He could be .500, but that might have more to do with the White Sox being a 90 loss team. Or he could blow up. Fact of the matter is, through 107 innings, he has a 3.70 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. That is good.

No, but just like you do occassionally, I like to speculate, which I guess isn't a crime or no one would be talking about trades or anything else. I look at past history, and thats what it tells me. Vazquez is going well right now,no doubt. History says it probably won't last. I hope it does, but history suggested Pods would get hurt. History suggested Erstad would get hurt. History suggests Bukvich will probably not be any good. If you don't like my opinion, there's always the ignore feature.

It's pretty obvious Vaz is a good guy to have on a staff.

The Sox starters have been so good.

It's a shame we're not in first place because of

injuries and horrid bullpen and the dumb acquisition of Erstad instead of somebody good.

Or the reality that making Vazquez a closer -- whether or not he keeps his ERA as low as it is right now -- is f***ing stupid.

I am a Vaz fan and have been since last year. Just for the record. I would not mind a rotation of Buerhle/Garland, Vazquez, Danks, Floyd, take your pick for next year. Now if both MB and JG were in there, I would be a very happy man.
