RME JICO
A 3-1 dismantling of the Twinkies! Great game for Buehrle, in what might be his last start for the Sox. His ERA is down to 3.03. Konerko heating up with another dinger! If we win tomorrow, we don't lose the series! Hopefully KW can see what good starting pitching does. GO SOX! Greg The Bull Luzinski
This is only half of a winner. It would have been a full winner if Buehrle was re-signed after the game.
stretchstretch
I can't think of one positive thing about being a Sox fan right now? Wins and losses are equally depressing, if that's possible. Maybe more free time this summer? (and next summer, and probably the one after?)

Wins and losses are equally depressing, if that's possible. You're kidding right? It was a Buehrle quality start/win, a Jenks save, a Konerko HR, and we are now only 6 GB from the Twins. We can close to within 5 games with a win tomorrow. Edited July 7, 2007 by RME JICO

Hell yeah, if we finish in 3rd this year, there better be a DVD after the season with highlights of our dramatic climb towards .500.

southsideirish71
Hopefully Buerhle stays, or the talent that we get back is so overwhelming we are blown away.

SSI....I don't think KW could have asked for a worse 30 hour span if he was set on trading Buehrle over the ASB in regards to how the fans would react to the trade. Heads22
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 7, 2007 -> 05:35 PM) Any postgame press conference tidbits? Well, Anderson not playing for Charlotte tonight. Either something's happening with him or he's got Dye's Syndrome, where everything goes wrong with you when there's a chance of getting traded. Fan sentiment is probably at an all-time high for Buehrle. However, his trade value in terms of performance is pretty damn high after that start, especially comparing the contrast to what the Twins did to the Sox pitching yesterday. elrockinMT
After Buerhle throwing this gem versus the Twinkies- a game we needed to win after such a shameful display on Friday- I can't believe the Sox management would still be undecided about signing Mark to an extension with a NTC. I am disappointed in Jenks not shutting the Twins down in the 9th, A hit and a walk are not what you want to see your closer allowing in the 9th with a 3-0 shutout on the line. He didn't have a problem on Friday shutting the Twins down in a 12-0 loss. I'm sorry, but I am not all that happy with Bobby.
