July 23, 200718 yr According to Rotoworld the sox are going to activate Pods and Erstad today. Although Id like to see Owens get a majority of CF the rest of the way we have two corresponding moves to make. Between Gonzalez, Terrero, and Owens 2 of the 3 need to be sent down to make room. Obviously the most valuable is Owens and we would all like to see him stay. Gonzalez is 0 for this last 19 and is probably headed back to AAA. Terrero is out of options so he would need to slip through waivers. So the sox need to decide if they are perhaps parting ways with terrero permanently today, which I have no problem with.
July 23, 200718 yr left handed. can run. might be able to improve into a leadoff hitter if he can learn to bunt better and slap out some ground ball hits. he's probably no more than a platoon left fielder. But he's more valuable than Terrero who strikes out too much.
July 23, 200718 yr The only way these guys should be seeing playing time is to showcase them for a trade. Both will be taking up space and AB's that should go to Owens, Sweeney, etc.
July 23, 200718 yr Chances are at least one of these guys will get hurt again within 2 weeks. That's why I think Terrero will stay.
July 23, 200718 yr Terrero is garbage, and Gonzalez isn't anything too special either. I would be so excited if they kept Owens (who seems to offer the most out of the three players) and brought up the other two clowns, Pods and Erstad. Is there a way we can DL Terrero (fake injury) and keep him from being claimed for a bit? Edited July 23, 200718 yr by Beastly

I say it's Erstad first. Seeing that it's been a while, he gets spooked by the fireworks after "Thunderstruck" starts and tweaks a hammy, knocking him out for all of August. Who's with me?
July 23, 200718 yr I cant believe are options are pods, erstad, gonzalez and terrero and owens. what garbage this team has become.

July 23, 200718 yr Keep Owens up and cast away the other two bums. Since most of the team is Bums.. can you be a little more specific?
July 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(SoxFan77 @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 11:10 AM) Since most of the team is Bums.. can you be a little more specific? Maybe we should employ bums, that would be fun to watch and would further help us with the top pick.
July 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 11:19 AM) release Erstad. Ding, ding, ding! Erstad otherwise will break his ankle when he ties his shoe too hard. Or his wrist when paying at the drive thru.
July 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 11:19 AM) Release Podsednik, release Erstad. Erstad will be starting in CF for the 2008 White Sox....
July 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 04:32 PM) Erstad will be starting in CF for the 2008 White Sox.... If he is, 2007 has been a good season in comparison to what next year would be.
July 23, 200718 yr Seriously, isn't Erstad the definition of bench guy? I'm not dissing him, just pointing out that you have a guy like that as a backup--experience, he can hit, plays multiple positions. But at his age and with his made-of-glass body, if you start him aren't you really just counting down to the next injury? JMO. And where is Sweeney? What are we waiting for with that guy?
July 23, 200718 yr How about making Gonzales the utility IF and letting Cintron go? Gonzales is 0-19 but i'd still rather see him at the plate than Cintron.

July 23, 200718 yr QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jul 23, 2007 -> 12:07 PM) Yea I agree with that!!! Cintron has become completely useless Gonzalez can play almost every position, cintron throws like a little girl.
July 23, 200718 yr owens would most likely be sent down. I highly doubt we carry 3 no-power lefthanded hitters. Gonzalez will likely be sent down as well. Terrero, while he may not be good, he is certainly better then Gonzalez and Owens, plus he does have talent/potential.
