Eat Mexican Food and Help Children

Featured Replies

I know there are a bunch of people from CU here, so I wanted to bring this out to everybody.

Come support Crisis Nursery the week of September 24 (Monday -Sunday) at El Toro (1805 S. Neil Street, Champaign). El Toro will be donating 100% of their proceeds from lunch and dinner (includes drink and all) from their "Community Table".

For those that don't know, the Crisis Nursery is a 24-7-365 care center for young children whose parents may have a crisis, issue or need emergency child care. They have food, toys and tons of workers and volunteers to play with the kids, etc. See http://www.crisisnursery.net for more info.

So, if you are in CU and can get to the community table at El Toro, do it. It's good food and also helping a local charity.

What is the "community table"? I have a guess and it sounds very cool.

And kudos for b eing involved. We made a terrible mistake in this country when we started sentencing criminals to "community service". We all should give to out communties in some way. Either time, talent, or treasure.

Sounds like a great cause. I hope there's a huge turnout for this.

I'm definitely in

If non-UIUC'ers want to donate, they have an option at the site http://www.crisisnursery.net.

Unfortunately, the online one doesn't come with Mexican food.

Do it people.....DO IT.

I thought this deserved a little bump.
