What a freekin pansy this guy is! ( Not to mention a hypocrite ). He is trying to use a court, which he is already on record as saying he'd ignore, to try and stop the execution of a brutal rapist and double murderer. This because the s***bag's "rights were violated".

Our so-called president doesn't want to do anything about illegal immigration except hand these criminals a free pass to live here in this country and now he doesn't even want to punish them when they commit crimes. Is this weak, hypocritical asshole out of office yet? We need a real conservative in the White House and not some shill for the Mexican government.

I'm not sure he could spell it, let alone know what it is.

Every President makes some disgusting pardons. Get over yourself.

George H.W. Bush's were just as bad (man who would've incriminated his ass); Carter's, in my view, worse (assassins); Reagan's, worse. (Watergate.)

Why make it personal?

"now, now, Gregory... maintain your composure."

Haha, that was good.

:D :cheers

It reminds me of all those cartoons that have mocked Clinton as being whipped and his wife as beating him around.

But the point stands that everyone uses their pardons for sleazy purposes and all of them have some embarrassing, disgusting pardons to their name.

Instead of questionable pardons... I'd like to see more Presidents use their last few weeks in office to do things that are politically unpopular but that the country ultimately needs. Clinton actually did a whole bunch of really great things with XO's to help protect wilderness areas and forests, restrict pollution levels and other assorted environmentally important things. Unfortunately, Bush then basically reversed or left to rot virtually every one of them and in fact did the opposite for some efforts. But I think if this BushCo administration actually does some common good type stuff, the next President may actually let some of it stand.

that's a great thought and exactly why it won't happen.

I would love to see a President have the guts to do one thing specifically, that would help people who really, really need it, who this country has collectively shat upon for decades, but who are a politically irrelevant group... American Indians. The reservation system, the B.I.A. and the rest of our treatment of them continue to be an embarrassment. But because they rarely vote, have no money and have near-zero political influence, they are left to rot. I would love to see someone in power actually do some things to make their situation better.
