Australia Day is celebrated on the 26th of January every year. It is the biggest nationwide public holiday that is celebrated across the country. There are no hard and fast rules on how to celebrate the day but it is great if you feel like participating any way you can.

I'll defer to DBAHO, but I bet ANZAC Day (April 25th) gives it a run for it's money. I unknowingly landed in Sidney on ANZAC Day and I think I was drunk for two days.

Nice to see you celebrate our national day.

What did I do on Australia Day? Spent the day on the beach on a hot day and got drunk, as you should on Australia Day.
