June 8, 200817 yr Ozzie has a controversial post game interview in Tampa. All of a sudden the Sox are hitting the crap out of the ball. It could be coincidence, but it sure seems like Ozzie's methods work well sometimes. Maybe the team didn't need loosy goosy. Maybe they needed to get angry.

I thought he was just angry too. But considering TB had won 17 out of their last 19 at home , I wasn't terribly upset with the results. The Sox played them very competitively and it was good baseball if not good hitting. It's possible Oz wanted to say something right before the big stretch of home games we're playing to upset the apple cart slightly to create an atmosphere of urgency ,but I doubt he gave it that much thought. But on the other hand you never know.

Walker is just butt hurt, he needs to stop being so sensitive. Ozzie has given him a free pass for how long now? Something needed to be said with how flat the offense continued to be. It's not like it was a little slump, we've been inconsistent for a couple of years. Finally he says something, and Walker gets upset. Too bad buddy, do your job.
