I like giving Wise some ABs. Probably in the minority on that one since I know people love Anderson, but I think we can maybe catch some lightning in a bottle with Wise.

2 for 30 with RISP and 2 outs....'nuff said

Just think about how you feel when he's up in those situations. It's amazing to think that I'd rather have BA, or Alexei, or even (seriously) Uribe with 2 outs and RISP.

Alexei gets into the heads of these pitchers when he is on base. He just gets it out there.

Where all these clutch Konerko hits, though? At least Thome has hit at some point during a game.

Nice a balk!

Balk. Thank Alexei for that one.

5 -4 lead now Javy f***ing hold this lead!!

Now get them in OC!

Got the lead back after the disasterous 2nd inning! Let's get one more.

We need to move some of these real hitters up in the order

We need to get Thome down more than a few slots.

PK is 3-24 with RISP and 2 outs.

So pretty much just as bad.

I swear, Josh Hamilton's swing is completely perfect. I've never seen anything like it in my life.

Deep breaths guys. Breathe through it

Konerko will at least change things up and adjust his swing to what is needed for the AB. Thome just rears back and swings ala Sammy Sosa and when you get older you swe what happens to each.

I understand Sosa is a jag on steroids but they are very similar hitters.

Why in the hell would you just pipe that pitch? Shades of 2006 Javy where he's Mr. Non-Momentum.

Most underrated player in baseball my ass.

The thing that annoys me with Thome is that he makes no attempt ever to hit it to left field or to third base. If he waited back and went opposite field, he could get a hit every time until they took off the shift.

I traded 10 minutes of the game for Blues Clue's what happened to Pittsburgh and what is the game situation?

He's been worse than usual with the weak grounders to the right side due to having to cheat at the plate. He knows his bat speed has declined, so now he starts his swing earlier. That's also why his eye is so much worse at the plate.

I don't want to hear any more talk about Vazquez being our best pitcher.

Quentin has a very unlevel swing now. It's why he's hitting so many pop ups when he puts the ball in play.

Greg Walker fixed him.

Which way did he fix him?

I see we've been acquainted with an old friend this evening, Habe Bawskez -- the Middle Eastern Gas Station attendant. Good at accounting and inventory, bad at pitching.
