Blue Jays fire Gibbons, re-hire Cito Gaston

Featured Replies

I've always been surprised Gaston hasn't gotten another shot. I remember he was considered strongly by the White Sox when Manuel was oustered (in fact, I remember some discussions where they thought about bringing in Gaston to help Ozzie out or even have Gaston come in with Ozzie learning under him).

Good thing Gibbons is gone.

Gibbons was one of the worst managers in the league for awhile. Adios, bum.

as a Frank Thomas fan, all I can do is *snicker*

This guy always had problems with certain players and the players always were the ones sent packing. Bout time Toronto got smart.

It was only a matter of time.

Too bad they had to do it today, Ted Lilly probably got giddy. Maybe that's why he had a QS today.
