AJ's 2-seamer is better than Javy's as well.

I disagree on that, they have fairly comparable 2-seemers. AJ throws his about 4-5 mph harder as well.

If all it would take is Brandon Allen and Jack Egbert I would be for the trade. Burnett would be able to step in if anyone gets hurt and if nobody is injured he would allow us to skip Danks/Floyd to keep them rested.

All for naught. From ESPN.COM:

-- Pitcher A.J. Burnett will be sticking with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Burnett

Asked whether the Blue Jays would deal Burnett before Thursday's trade deadline, general manager J.P. Ricciardi was emphatic.

"He's not going anywhere," Ricciardi said before Burnett pitched Monday against Tampa Bay.

Burnett had an awesome start tonight, too. It's too bad becasue we could really use him.

I have no idea why they wouldn't trade him other than thinking the prospects they would receive in trade won't be nearly as good as the two comp picks.

dickallen has it right. Blue Jays say that Burnett isn't going anywhere but Toronto
