You do realize that guys like Broadway and Egbert have absolutely no trade value?

You are overvaluing the worth of Beltre. Seattle is not competing next season, and he is signed for one more year on what could be considered a semi-bloated deal.

I disagree, as they were asking for Slowey, Blackburn, or Perkins as well as another prospect. It doesn't matter, as Beltre is represented by Boras.

Roberts, no doubt about it. He's one of the best leadoff hitters in baseball.

Beltre shouldn't have a ton of value for the M's. The Mariners front office thinking he does is another story.

 

With 1 year left on his deal, Beltre having Boras as an agent shouldn't be a huge deal. Again, with Boras as his agent, and his storied history of taking his clients to free agency at any cost, Beltre doesn't bring alot of value to Seattle.

 

I thought we were talking about right now...in the offseason, that's a different story. However, I can't see KW trading for a Boras client going into their walk year.

He's by far the most worrisome hitter in the lineup, he looks absolutely horrible, at least the other 8-9 guys have had some good success of late. Oh and it was his f***up in the field that allowed the first run to score. Just saying.

We don't have 2 to 3 weeks to wait for him to start hitting. The Sox can't afford to have him going 0-4 with 4 popouts to the right side. Also while struggling in the field.

uribe played damn good D at 3rd base, let crede alternate at DH with Thome against lefties, you could also alternate Crede/Griffey at DH on Jim's days off... just throwing ideas around

Even with a different agent, I'm not sure at this point the Sox would want him back, and at this point thats a good thing.
