I feel good about Buehrle going tomorrow though.

The Royals have been very fun to watch the last few days.

Royals are 13-2 over their last 15 games. Please to god make it 14-2. We WILL win tomorrow.

His time with DJ is drawing to a close.

 

Seriously, he has a big board in the booth, and every time they finish a game, he crosses off another day. DJ has a similar board at home.

Hilariously many of us figured it'd be 2 wins by Minn and Chicago each at this point, so we'd be in the same position as we are now.

 

Yet are way angrier right now about arriving at the same point in a different way.

So, let me get this straight. Possible scenarios for tomorrow afternoon:

 

Sox win, Twins lose: Sox move into first by half a game. Winning the DET game clinches division, losing it forces a one-game playoff.

Sox and Twins both win/lose: Sox remain a half-game behind. DET game is played, Sox need to win.

Sox lose, Twins win: MIN clinches.

 

There's still hope, but it's an uphill battle.

We're going to need a little help but with Buehrle pitching I am optimistic.
