October 1, 200817 yr Awesome job Danks!! oh and Carlos Gomez, go f*** yourself you prick, I hope that scene you were making last week was worth it
October 1, 200817 yr Danks manned up when we needed him. The future is indeed bright for us. Floyd and Danks are growing up in front of our very eyes.
October 1, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) I know you meant this as a congratulations to Danks, but he's been our best pitcher this entire year. He was a man long before tonight. I love John Danks. Yes, but tonight he put it all together all in one game. I hear what you're saying, and I agree. I meant this to be more about tonight, though.
October 1, 200817 yr The dejected look in the Twins faces was fun to watch. Danks was the man. No, IS the man.
October 1, 200817 yr Brandon McWho? McCarthy for Danks and Masset. Masset for Griffey. Tonight's win brought to you by KW! Talk about PWNing a trade! Way to go Kenny! Edited October 1, 200817 yr by RudyLawRules
October 1, 200817 yr The way these 3 guys have stepped up in a row isn't 2005-ish, but perhaps may end up being 2008-ish one day.
October 1, 200817 yr Danks was phenomenal. What great command tonight. Danks and Floyd. Congrats Kenny, Danks and Floyd. And we can put to bed criticism of the 3 days rest thing. Other teams did it as well. Our starters manned up. Get drunk Danks, Floyd and Mark and of course Bobby. You deserve the beer tonite.
October 1, 200817 yr I know we've had no hitters and such, but all things considered, I defy anyone to find a better regular season performance in Sox history (since the stats do count, I'll call it that) than Danks tonight. The props go to Buehrle, Floyd, and Danks for saving our season 3 days in a row, but especially Danks tonight. Unreal.
October 1, 200817 yr QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 10:57 PM) Not that it matters, but if John Danks was pitching in New York, the hype machine would be insane. they can have their hype...I'll take my playoff appearance (not that you meant it like that, I just like cliches)
October 1, 200817 yr Add Mark Buehrle and Gavin Floyd to the title of this thread. Three WONDERFUL and most importantly CLUTCH pitching performances turned in by three oustanding pitchers in our three most important games of the season.
