October 11, 200817 yr Remember how Tom Cruise was upset with Viacom for South Park's airing of the infamous "Trapped in the Closet" episode? I can't begin to imagine what Brad Grey and Rob Moore, and Spielberg and Lucas, will say to Viacom. After all, the DVD of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull comes out in just days. And Paramount confirmed to me this week that an Indiana Jones 5 is a very, very real possibility and Lucas has already begun development on it. From deadlinehollywooddaily.com You can watch the episode online at Southparkstudios.com
October 11, 200817 yr I thought it was a pretty lame episode. I wonder how many of the viewers even caught the reference to "The Accused" with the pinball machine.
October 13, 200817 yr The Chinese infiltration part of the episode was hilarious. P.F. Chang's... haha
October 13, 200817 yr The only part where I really laughed was the first time Butters shot the guy and Cartman scolded him. "You shot him in the dick!?!" After that it started getting a little old. The rest of the episode was meh... Definitely not their best work.
October 13, 200817 yr South Park joins Family Guy in the category of absolutely terrible season premiers. And with Family Guy these last two have been so bad I'd almost rather watch one of the four episodes they replay EVERY f***ING DAY. I guarantee you, over Cartoon Network/TBS/whatever on any given day, you'll find one of these episodes airing: Peter and the King, Stewie Tries to Find His Self in the Future, Peter Becomes President of Tobacco Company.
October 13, 200817 yr yea, the Chinese part was hysterical, but the rape part... not so much. I've never been a fan of making fun of rape, so this wasn't on my good side already. And, to me, it took forever to tie in the rape reference to Indiana Jones.
October 13, 200817 yr I did find it funny that after all that build up about someone getting raped they were just making fun of the Indiana Jones movie. Some of the Chinese stuff was also funny. Pretty average to below average episode.
October 13, 200817 yr Author This episode churned up publicity for the new season... in that aspect - mission accomplished. You guys are right though the episode was pretty weak... and although I'm not sure it matters or not, but Trey Parker as Cartman sounded really lackluster this past week. The voice lacked any type of distinctiveness, he sounded just like Stan. Still, I think Matt and Trey are both Geniuses, can't wait for the next episode.
October 13, 200817 yr Subpar episode. A few funny lines, but overall not a great one. After 12 seasons it would be understandable if they're running out of gas.
