November 17, 200817 yr Anyone else watch this show? I meant to start this thread a while ago but forgot. With only one episode left my gf and I are hooked. It's not the greatest show, and they could drop about half the storylines (and actors/actresses), but it's still entertaining and has me geared up each week.
November 17, 200817 yr I know mostly all women that LOVE that show, which is suprising because it seems to be pretty graphic.
November 17, 200817 yr Author In a nutshell, Vampires are starting to "come out of the coffin" and integrate into society. The show is set in way down south Louisiana and there's some murders and whatnot that happen.
November 17, 200817 yr its a great show, an interesting spin on the vampire myth... The acting is kind of blah at times, but it delivers week-to-week. I am a little worried about the the story of the show moving forward, the show is based on a book and im not sure if it will be as clever as seasons progress.

November 17, 200817 yr QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 17, 2008 -> 10:56 AM) I know mostly all women that LOVE that show, which is suprising because it seems to be pretty graphic. That's cause Jason is in all the graphic scenes. I agree, great show. Anyone have thoughts on the murderer...?
November 17, 200817 yr Im recommending this show to most of my friends. I thought they basically revealed the murderer at the end of this episode. The picture of the murdered girls brother was sent to the police station but the lady who got the fax placed it under some documents and then proceeded to start spreading the Stackhouse is a murder rumors.

The picture of the murdered girls brother was sent to the police station but the lady who got the fax placed it under some documents and then proceeded to start spreading the Stackhouse is a murder rumors. That was too neat for me. I think (hope) there will be more of a twist. But if not that's it.
November 17, 200817 yr Yeah im not exactly sure. I thought that him being even considered as the murderer was quite a twist because I didnt feel that he was on the radar at all. I thought it was the guy who Lafayette said he was going to "hire" and was in the Iraq war (even though I spoiler tagged this I still am trying not to reveal to much.) Then when I saw the picture, it some what fit. Because last episode Jason told him that the reason he was having girl problems was that Amy was addicted to V, and then she got killed. The guy at the pie stand seem to give off the impression that the murderer killed his sister for hanging out with vampires. Every female murdered has been associating with vampires. I think what has been happening is that Jason gets with the girl, then he tells the world they were with vampires too and then the murderer goes after them.

My wife and I both really dig the show, and we're bummed the season is almost over. We bacame big Alan ball fans with Six Feet Under, and I'm a life-long vampire junkie, so the combination was a good one. I believe they DID preview who the murderer was last night. . . The picture that came over on the fax looked a lot like a clean-cut Rene, and he's never hidden his disdain for vampires and people who associate with them, so tthey are certainly pointing to him as the killer.

If it's the brother of the murdered girl from teh pie stand then it can't be Rene. But like I said above it probably is the fax guy (brother), but I hope it isn't cause I want there to be a bigger twist.

I don't believe there's been a firm indication of how long he and Arlene have been together, has there? Has it been confirmed in the storyline that he grew up in Bon Temps? He seems more full-on cajun than most of the other residents. I think his picture coming over the fax WAS the twist and it all just has to play out in the last episode.

I bet you are right.
November 18, 200817 yr I'll have to catch up on this show with OnDemand. Another series I've watched within the last several days is Crash, available on Starz. I've really enjoyed it. Every storyline is entertaining (aside from the immigrant attempting to enter the United States, since they haven't developed his character). One issue with the series is the numerous WTF moments involving Dennis Hopper characters and The Doctor, undoubtedly due to both inhaling drugs. Edited November 18, 200817 yr by Flash Tizzle
November 18, 200817 yr Jim, Soxbadger I watched it again and you guys are right. I missed the previews before also so those helped. Probably shouldn't watch it when I'm half asleep on Sunday nights.
