LET'S MAKE A LIST PART V - Holiday Edition

Featured Replies

PM me a list of your 15 favorite Post Thanksgiving/Pre-New Year Specials or Movies. 1-15. Number one being "favorite", down to fifteen.

They can be regular TV episodes that have a Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa theme, a yearly animated/puppet-based/claymation/live-action special, a holiday movie that is played on TV, or is a movie that is holiday themed that you like.

Here are some ideas:

Deadline for lists is December 12th.

As a general observation so far, I can't believe that so few people have chosen Miracle on 34th Street.

That was fun!

Oddly enough, it was my #16...

I don't have enough favorites to make 1-15. Only about 5. And yes folks, Home Alone 1 & 2 would both make that list.

I have never seen Miracle on 34th St.

I love Christmas movies and specials but Iam having a hard time remembering my favorites.

Rent the 1947 edition if you can.

A Christmas Story should, and likely will be, #1.

Not for me. I've seen that so many times now that I cant bear the thought of watching it anymore.

Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation

List sent.

Pass.

That movie sucks. I didn't even put it on my list.

You're not American.

If that isn't #1, i'm rioting.

Agreed. It's like Forrest Gump. I could watch it again as soon as it ends. Thankfully they do just that.

I am America! And so can you!

Maybe it's because I never saw it as a child, but I'd rather watch Christmas Vacation or It's a Wonderful Life anyday.

To all those who voted for Grinch...

Which one? The cartoon or live action?

I don't think ANYONE would vote for the live action one.

Just a reminder, the deadline is only 4 days away!

I know it got dogged by a lot of people, but I really like that version. I own it.

I'm glad to hear there are a lot of lists. Doesn't surprise me much. It's the only "let's make a list" I've filled out b/c I just love Christmas. Definitely my absolute favorite holiday, and I think it's most people's favorite too. It's just such a festive season... christmas music, being with family, lights on houses, christmas trees, etc. There's just so much to love about Christmas. The gifts are about last on my list on reasons I love Christmas. It would be far and away my favorite holiday even without the presents Santa brings... :santabye

There is only one as far as I'm concerned: The Boris Karloff narrated classic.

I'm making my list and It's kinda sad how few I can come up with. Half of my list is gonna be tv shows and I'm not even sure if Edward Scissorhands counts but I'm putting it on my list because it is a Christmas movie to me.
