March 8, 200917 yr QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 02:39 AM) KU essentially with a bye as the 1 seed. no such things as an easy game come tourney time.
March 8, 200917 yr Author QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 03:25 AM) no such things as an easy game come tourney time. You're going to play one of the four lucky teams that lost to Iowa State this year in the first round. It should be an easy game.

March 8, 200917 yr QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 03:03 PM) What are the chances it wont be a Kansas/OU final? Slim and none. And I expect OU to win.
March 8, 200917 yr Since the tournament is not in Columbia, A & M has a pretty easy road to the semifinals
March 8, 200917 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 8, 2009 -> 05:01 PM) Since the tournament is not in Columbia, A & M has a pretty easy road to the semifinals LOL. If A&M can sustain shooting 62% for a full game again then yes. Otherwise, Missouri isn't incompetent on the road. They have wins at Texas and Ok. State. You can say Missouri is overrated and bad away from home, but to say A&M has 'a pretty easy road to the semifinals' is simply ignorant. Let's not even mention the fact that A&M is a jump shooting team that will be playing the 2nd of a back to back against a rested Missouri team. Even the people that say Missouri is overrated have to concede they are a legit top 25 team, which A&M is not so stop with the garbage.
March 9, 200917 yr Tough bottom of the bracket, assuming Okie State and A&M take care of things in the 1st round. KU should be able to sleepwalk to the title game, and will probably be facing a team that had to win some tough games to get there, so i'll take the Jayhawks to win this crown. March 9, 200917 yr I'd love to see Valpo product Scott Drew and Baylor manage a second round upset and beat Kansas.
March 9, 200917 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) I'd love to see Valpo product Scott Drew and Baylor manage a second round upset and beat Kansas. Drew is a turd, I have heard tons of stories of him ripping schools that he is competing agains in recruiting.

I like the logic, but I'm taking Oklahoma because it's in Oklahoma.

Maybe that's because Baylor need every little edge it can get considering their recent history. He's done an excellent job bringing that program back from the dead. Almost literally. And lets not talk about recruiting and the Big 12. Not a good recent history.

March 11, 200917 yr I think he meant scandal wise. Baylor, Oklahoma and Mizzou have had their issues. K State had some questionable dealings with the Beasley/Walker stuff.

March 12, 200917 yr So, Mike Singletary. He's pretty good. Scored 35 points in the second half and 43 overall as Texas Tech came back from down 22 to beat A&M. Best performance in college I have ever seen. At one point he scored 29 straight points for Tech and he actually outscored A&M by himself in the second half.
March 12, 200917 yr QUOTE (The Bones @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) Baylor up 7 on Kansas under 4 minutes left. Now only up 1 with under 2 minutes left.
March 12, 200917 yr Well I guess we can stop this talk about Kansas getting a 1 seed. Will they even get a 2 seed now?

March 12, 200917 yr What's up with Kansas? That's 3 surprisingly mediocre/poor performances in a row.
