April 5, 200916 yr got tix to the Fri. and Sat. games vs. the Twins next week. As far as I know the starting pitchers are still up in the air for those games. I'm assuming Contreras will go Friday, and although its very encouraging that Colon put up a great performance to end spring, I'm really hoping Buehrle goes again next Saturday. Wondering what everyone thinks about who will be pitching next weekend, assuming Monday's game takes place.
April 5, 200916 yr Liriano would be Saturday or Sunday...he's getting the OD start instead of Baker, who's now on the DL. Should be: MON: Buehrle vs. Meche WED: Floyd vs. Greinke THUR: Danks/Contreras vs. Kyle Davies FRI: Danks/Contreras vs. RA Dickey (knuckleballer) SAT: Colon vs. Liriano SUN: Buerhle vs. Blackburn
April 5, 200916 yr That Dickey game is going to be hilarious. Anyone else remember when he and the M's came to the Cell when we had Griffey?

I don't think Liriano would be a lock for Saturday's game. The Twins may opt to give him the extra day of rest just like the Sox may do with Buehrle

April 5, 200916 yr QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 5, 2009 -> 12:23 PM) blackburn man-handles us. He was 2-3 with a 4.86 ERA against the Sox in 2008. 15 K's vs. 12 BB's in 33 innings; a 1.59 WHIP. And we had a .308 batting average against him. Edited April 5, 200916 yr by scenario
April 5, 200916 yr QUOTE (scenario @ Apr 5, 2009 -> 12:31 PM) He's 2-3 with a 4.86 career ERA against the Sox. 15 K's vs. 12 BB's in 33 innings; a 1.59 WHIP. And we have a .308 batting average against him. Ignore the stats, he man-handles us! lol Do people check things before they post them?

April 5, 200916 yr I like the idea of Contreras against the Royals and Danks against the Twins (building off the final game last season)....I don't know about the career numbers, but Jose (seemingly) has pitched better against the Royals than most AL teams in his career. It's going to be interesting to see what happens to the knuckleball in such cold weather conditions...he will give up 5 walks and 7 runs or pitch a shutout it seems. However, it seems like it should be at least 45-55 or maybe even 60 by the end of the week.
