June 27, 200916 yr Author Charlotte now up 6-0. Home runs by Cole Armstrong and Miguel Negron. Adam Russel and Derek Rodriguez so far with scoreless bullpen outings.
June 27, 200916 yr Author Daniel Black, the guy from Purdue we just promoted after 8 at bats is 2/4 tonight for Kanny.
June 27, 200916 yr Daniel Black, the guy from Purdue we just promoted after 8 at bats is 2/4 tonight for Kanny. Big D is one guy I'm going to watch very closely, since I did know the kid.
June 27, 200916 yr Author Birmingham takes a 5-4 lead on a triple by Gartrell and an RBI ground ball single by Colina.
June 27, 200916 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 26, 2009 -> 09:54 PM) 15th homer for David Cook. He left his wallet in Birmingham and he can't find it. That's the only logical reason he's not been promoted to Charlotte.
June 27, 200916 yr Jacob Rasner [the forgotten 2nd arm in the Danks-McCarthy trade] has really thrown well having been moved to the starting rotation in W/S. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=489229 6 starts, 2.40 ERA, 30 IP, 21 h, 24 K's, 4 BB's, 2.20 GB rate, .199 BAA. He made 18 starts in W/S last year. Could he be moved up to AA before long?

He's only 22, so he appears to be breaking though.
