3 K's for Chen in our first 5 outs.

AJ got hosed, that ball was fair. Bacon flew out to left, no hits for the Sox yet.

And 2 straight innings end on outfield assist double plays. This one 9-3.

Getz must just be hypnotizing these runners at 2nd.

9-3 DP. Another Hit-And-Run Fail by the Royals.

Chen has a no hitter through 3.

Got mlb.tv on and there's no commentary. Is there something I should know?

Nix with a hit! (Oh yeah, and it left the ballpark!)

1-0 Sox.

Also, it's really nice to see Quentin back in the dugout.

Anything new with him?

Interesting note on Chen . He's of Chinese descent but was born and raised in Panama as were his parents , so he speaks perfect Spanish.

He's expected back right after ASB. He's been increasing his workouts and will be starting minor league rehab soon.

I know some south american countries have big asian populations. Peru had a recent president who I believe was a son of Japanese immigrants.

It wouldbe a shame if we dont find a spot for Nix here, he really could develop as a hitter. And great glove already.

Apparently a lot of Chinese immigrants went to Panama to build the canal when things weren't so good in China. His grandfather Changed his name to JOSE Chen.

i dont know if i can remember a slap hitter so committed to solely slap hitting. he was not always this way.

More Nix thoughts: is he Josh Fields of 07

Except that he can play multiple positions well. He's at least Uribe.
