Phegley finally got to play catcher: 1-3 with a double, passed ball, threw out both runners that tried to steal

11th rounder Ballinger already moved up and got the start: 3 IP, 3 R

The almighty one went 2-2 with an rbi and a walk. Played 5 innings today... He is now batting .800 in AAA.

Well, my two AAP catchers are really in the crapper right now.

Donny Lucy has apparently become the backup in Charlotte now, after posting an average just over .100 in June. I wonder if that knee injury, which he did hitting, is still messing with him.

Kevin Dubler so far in Great Falls is hitting .100 in 20 AB. He is starting to lose playing time to Blackwood and Santos.

Miggy (I'm calling Miguel Gonzalez "Miggy" now) keeps hitting, 1-3 today... He went 1 for 2 today with base stealers, but had another passed ball (make that 5 now).

John Curtis was moved up to W-S, so Phegley will probably catch a lot more now.

How was Q's running? Did anyone see highlights?

JPN, how about a weekly update on futuresox that just quickly goes over all the minor league transactions within the organization? I think it'd be cool to have it posted like once a week on monday to let everyone know what the minor league moves were.

Like this past week, we got Curtis moving up, and I know there was another roster move or two.

What worries me is trying to have him play on it, will make it worse?

Yes, it could make it worse. However, you don't know if he was looking "uncomfortable" due to pain or just being tentative being worried about aggravating it.

We'll know more as he plays more games.

I try to update the significant moves on Future Sox. But I can do a recap of all of them weekly.

I have an urge to create a Carlos Quentin AAP page.

Jose Contreras was ridiculous enough.
