July 22, 200322 yr I must admit i was skeptical when we 1st signed this guy. And I was ready to give him the boot when he got off to a shaky start. But the last couple of months or so this guy has been outstanding. In a year when our pen has pretty much sucked he's been one of 2 lone bright spots. No tellin where we would be right now with Flash. I just pray to god he stays healthy. Man that curveball is nasty
July 22, 200322 yr Rick White looked better, not trying to start something here and agree with Gordon looking good but he, Marte and White are making Kock look like an afterthought. Now if Glover could get a shot we could have a good pen.
July 22, 200322 yr 4 pitch walk to start the 9th really worried me. I started to think that he may have become tired or something. He certainly can't have 2 inning saves all the time, but the only guy we can use late with him is Marte at this point (and i'd use White before Koch)

Man that curveball is nasty I think you overstating that the bullpen has mostly sucked this year, because thats not true. I think people see that Koch has sucked the whole year and think the whole bullpen has also. But Gordon except for the 1st couple weeks has been solid. White has been solid since May. Wunch before he was hurt was really good at getting LHs out. Marte has been his usual self and pitched solid. I really can't judge Sanders or Glover because they haven't pitched enough, but Sanders last weekend was great.

April 4.36 May 14.98 June 1.35 July 4.16 Interestingly enough, he only allowed earned runs in 3 of his 9 April appearances. Only allowed an unearned run in one additional outing.
July 22, 200322 yr Man if you get 7 innings from the starter, Marte and Gordon will close the doors. You cant do this all the time because eventually these guys will start to wear out. You got to give other guys in the pen a chance. AKA Koch
