July 20, 200916 yr Put together an impromptu family vacation, and we're up at Skyland Lodge inside Shenandoah National Park. What a phenomenal place. Saw a momma black bear with two small cubs while hiking today and there are deer everywhere. Did a nice hike down to a waterfall and another to the summit of Rocky Man Mountain. Rafting tomorrow, more hiking, caverns and maybe some trail riding the next couple of days, and then planning on finishing out teh week with a couple of days in DC. No Internet for miles other than a weak 3G signal that comes and goes, so I figured I'd check in and say hi while I had a signal. Later!
