July 24, 200916 yr I would like to open this up for the purpose of communicating to other Soxtalk members what can be found to commerate this historic event. Simple example: Does Buerhle make the cover of the next SI? If you see it, or anything similar or avaialble, put it here.
July 24, 200916 yr He will be in a small box in the corner. The Yankees have a 7 game winning streak going.
July 24, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 12:17 PM) He will be in a small box in the corner. The Yankees have a 7 game winning streak going. Hell, Lance Armstrong will take the cover for getting 4th place in the Tour.
July 24, 200916 yr slightly off topic: Ed Farmer called in to the score and talked to B&B after the game yesterday, and he talked about how he is very meticulous with his scorecards and he thinks they are the best memorobilia for a game. He said that after Buehrles 1st no-hitter he had the scorecard that he did framed and he gave it to Buehrle along with a CD of the game. Farmer can be corny and annoying sometimes, but that is a very cool and classy thing to do

July 24, 200916 yr I'm so glad it was Buehrle that threw the Perfecto and not like Colon... I mean he's just so easy to root for.

July 24, 200916 yr whats on the itunes version? Just straight 9 innings or post game stuff too? Don't know if I should bother editing the 29 gigs of video I pulled from my Tivo last night.
July 24, 200916 yr Both Chicago papers featured it on the front and back page of their news-stand issues today. The back of the Trib has Buehrle with his mitt over his head, probably one of my favorite images of Chicago sports ever.
July 25, 200916 yr Author QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 11:38 AM) Larry do you want copy's of the newspapers? Let me know and I can pick them up for you. I just now saw this, Mike. It's probably too late, but I appreciate the offer. Thanks.
