August 20, 200916 yr QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) Inge always kills the Sox even when they are not facing him. same with aardsma.. even when he's not pitching for us
August 20, 200916 yr things keep going the Tigers way. Going to be tough to overcome their luck over the next month and a half.
August 20, 200916 yr Difference between ares and theres is we cant beat the s***ty teams and they do. 2.5 back, wtf.
August 20, 200916 yr I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this, but it seems like the Tigers are always playing at home. Edited August 20, 200916 yr by Hanky Panky
August 20, 200916 yr And there is the walkoff single. We face the Mariners. And their pen looks like the second coming of the Reds nasty boys. The Tigers face them with their offense and poof they score runs. Maybe our guy can start to get their heads out of their asses when we go down, and stop trying to go hero on every pitcher. Nibble away nibble away and you can come back.

August 20, 200916 yr QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 03:44 PM) Yea, but we don't have Clete Thomas. I also noticed that when they did get a rally. The guy on third base didnt get picked off either.
August 20, 200916 yr Seattle's bullpen really sucked in this series and they have one of the best bullpen ERAs in baseball too...
August 20, 200916 yr QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 01:49 PM) I also noticed that when they did get a rally. The guy on third base didnt get picked off either. it's so true -- all those f*** ups add up to a 3 game deficit in the loss column that feels more like 6. Add to that the fact that the tigers have won more one-run games than they've lost, and it's easy to see why they'll probably win this division.
August 20, 200916 yr QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 03:40 PM) That f***ing sucks I still rather have him than Linebrink and hes millions cheaper.
August 20, 200916 yr the Sox can also only score on the homerun, no speed, fundamental hitting, or situational hitting. If the ball is not flying out, the sox are not flying at all. Even more of a reason to say goodbye to 2/3 of Konerko, Dye and Thome.
