Kalapse, I am going to specifically ask you about what I posted earlier. What are your thoughts on Murphy?

Probably not. During his peak he was very good given the horrendous error of offense in which he played but he had only 6 exceptional seasons and outside of his prime years he did next to nothing. I'd have a tough time putting someone with his underwhelming career numbers in the hall but given that Jim Rice went in last year and Murphy does have 2 MVPs I wouldn't get too worked up about it if he were elected. He wouldn't get my vote. Though personally, I have higher standards for the Hall of Fame, there are more than a few players that I'd love to kick out.

Do you want to put in Mattingly? Keith Hernandez? Because I sure as hell don't. I don't think Murphy is significantly better than either.

When you're asked directly if you used and you refuse to give an answer you're not going to get a lot of sympathy.

This is tricky, because you're absolutely right that he's not going to get sympathy per se for not answering. But, I personally have a hell of a lot more respect for him doing taking the fifth than I do for Samuel Sosa and Palmeiro flat-out lying, both on a legal level and more generally an ethical level. Nonetheless, the obvious implication is he did it.

I went with Alomar, Blyleven, and Raines.... although NorthSide makes a solid argument for Murphy.

I kept getting an error message when trying to vote, but my top 3 would be Dale Murphy, Dave Parker and Lee Smith.

Who voted for Ellis Burks?

It was probably me when I was drunk because I loved Ellis Burks as a kid.

Bump.

Baines got jobbed.

Ventura got freaking hosed, I'm legitimately upset about that one.

It's an absolute f***in joke that Robbie isn't in. Pisses me off.

I know he's going to get in, but I would love to see one person that didn't vote for him try and justify it. Impossible.

BUT HE SPIT IN THE UMPS FACE

(of course, the backstory behind that is that Alomar and Hirschbeck are actually good friends now)

I voted Dawson.

Looks like Dawson will be wearing an Expos hat in the Hall

That is awesome. THey are going to put him with the hat of a franchise that is long gone, instead of a Cubs one.

It was really a no-brainer, the only reason there was even a question was that Dawson wanted the Cubs. But its not up to the player.

Expos in the HOF: Carter and Dawson.

Tim Raines possibly becoming the third and final one day

The 2 best seasons of Vlad Guerrero's career came in Montreal.

.323/.390/.588/.978, 148 OPS+, 234 HR in 4220 PA with Montreal. 4 AS appearances, 3 Silver Sluggers

.319/.381/.546/.927, 141 OPS+, 173 HR in 3606 PA with Anaheim. 4 AS appearances, 4 Silver Sluggers and an MVP

Personally, I'd put him in as an Expo.

Will the "Hall" have issue with Larry Walker and Todd Helton because of the "Colorado Effect?"
