If he signs for anything more than what the Sox offered him, you can damned well bet someone in the media will call the Sox cheap. Even if it is December-April, before any results on the field actually happen, someone will make sure to call Kenny or JR cheap.

He has a Plan A, but also plans B through ZZZ. I think KW sees trading Jenks as unlikely, but possible, and also thinks that one of Hudson, Link, Nunez, etc. could be almost as good or as good, in a non-critical role, for cheaper.
