SGIV is supposed to be out next year as well.

Im probably not getting a new phone for a few years, SGIII does everything I want really well. Turns out that even with a top end phone, I still mainly just use it for phone and music.

On Windows it sounds like iTunes is staying.  On Mac, the app is splitting into three (podcasts, music, TV).  Based on what I'm reading, the store will still exist for music and video and will be acce

The GS4 is going to be out in the next month or so.

For those who used to watch TechTV....

"The Librarian of Congress banned the practice of buying a cell phone and unlocking it last October. Now the window in which it was legal to do so will close on Saturday, Jan. 26. "

some kind of cite would have been nice. Who or what is the Librarian of Congress and what authority do they have to ban anything?

From the source article which this one points to:

In October 2012, the Librarian of Congress, who determines exemptions to a strict anti-hacking law called the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), decided that unlocking cellphones would no longer be allowed. But the librarian provided a 90-day window during which people could still buy a phone and unlock it. That window closes on Jan. 26.

Ugh our IP/tech laws are so terrible

And how are they going to catch you?

Would your network provider be able to tell and then report/sue?

And how are they going to catch you?

They're going to arrest any locksmith that unlocks these phones.

Nexus 4s are finally back in stock on Google Play. Nabbed a 16 GB today. :)

Blackberry 10 launched today. I'm due for a new phone and absolutely loved my Curve, so I want to do my due diligence and check this phone out. It looks really good and I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I'm extremely interested.

And now it's Blackberry who makes the Blackberry 10, not Research in Motion

LOL. Blackberry. The Curve is a piece of s***.

The Curve was awesome, so SUCK IT!

I don't think I'll ultimately end up getting the '10 but I'm hoping it sells because it does offer a lot of cool things and interesting ideas. Part of the reason Blackberries are so awesome is BBM, and getting the '10 now would be like getting a 1-way walkie talkie.

So blackberry made an iphone huh? Thats cute.

Hardware is decent, but the app ecosystem is still lacking, maybe not even on par with Windows Phone yet.

With how much money RIM was giving developers to make apps before launch, I expected better.

They made a Droid X if you pay attention to the top and bottom bezels. Or a Sony Xperia S...

The Cnet review said basically a poorly manufactured iphone 5 with a buggy OS. No reason for any user to switch over to it.

IMO the ONLY thing blackberry EVER had that was an advantage was their keyboard and the Push email function. Both are gone.

It has two things no mobile OS has right now...a centralized notification inbox and an incredibly cool gesture based UI.

I see nothing wrong with BB10 itself. It feels like a modern OS. It just doesn't have any substantial app support. Any mobile OS without app support these days is doomed.

I dont see either of those as advantages, maybe someone else will, but to me not really.
