1:0 Cubs, leadoff single by Theriot and Fukudome smokes a ball past Paulie all the way to the corner, where Carlos bobbles, Theriot scores, Fukudome with a triple.

SF for Derek Lee, 2:0 Cubs.

Damn...Bacon gave one a ride to the 409 mark in center...but Byrd caught it.

I have been saying this for a while now. I personally don't want Q in the field possibly hurting his foot again, or any other injury. When Jones is in the line-up, he should be in CF, and Q DH's. When Kotsay is in the line-up, Kotsay can DH with Q in RF, or just leave Q at DH, and have Kotsay play RF.

WOW...For a "sell-out", a lot of people came dressed as empty seats.

LOL...Soriano gets picked off. Inning over.

the problem is that he is hurting his foot running the bases, so keeping him out of the field doesnt really help

I think it will definitely help. Maybe running the bases IS more of a risk for him, but I personally would baby him as much as we can, and being that Jones has shown he can stick it in the OF, I don't think we are really losing anything defensively.

SWEET...Kane, Toews, Keith and Seabrook will throw out the first pitch at opening day. Seab's may not know where he is, but he will be there.

Alexei that was f***ing SEXY.

Alexei might not make that play last year. That was pretty.

Since when does Alexei know how to dive? That was sweeet.

CRAP...Derricka just lit up Danks. 4 -0

Danks leaving a lot of stuff up today. I know in pregame they were talking about Johnny going 5. We'll see.

Pierre walks.

Pierre scores on Becks double, hopefully one of many to come.

Bacon rips a double to left...Pierre easily scores. 4 - 1 Bacon on second. 1 out.

Beckham swinging sweetly.

Bacon goes to third on a sac fly by CQ.

Gordo might see a few fastballs this year with Pierre on base, and he probably will enjoy CQ protecting him in the lineup as well.

Can we please make "Bacon" a filtered word on this site? Let's just call him Beckham or Gordon or Gordo.
