Your starter is Mark Kotsay.

You don't pinch hit in the 2nd inning.

Outside of Lilly, the Cubs' trade chips have virtually no value...

Silva to a contender?

This will be good for Peavy's FIP.

Eh, even with him being so good, I don't think teams want his contract.

Maybe somebody will bite, but the Cubs may just keep him.

4th........for Kotsay

Would be nice to see Jake go on a Contreras-like tear and win 15 straight games and get the Cy Young.

You (or whoever brought it up initially) advocated putting Viciedo into the lineup at the start of the bottom of the second. Either way, pinch hitting in the 4th is still dumb.

Nice lead-off walk. Let's get something going here.

Quentin's OPS is now .776.

With the wind blowing to left and a lefty pitcher in I wouldn't mind seeing his bat up there even though I know it's not a move any manager would make.

It's just not done. It's showing up your players.

Its just so early. You wouldnt regret it if the game was tight late and it would be nice to pinch hit a power bat for Beckham/Pierre/Vizquel but we couldnt because he was no longer available?

Its just early to arbitrarily remove someone from the game is what I'm saying. Anything can happen in 5 or 6 innings.
