Has hit a home run as well.

 

The only thing he hasn't done is win a Cy Young and we probably won't, but still been great for us.

 

Will be cool to see #56 on the outfield wall.

He is probably my second all time favorite...behind Frank.

Outside of Robin for me. Its amazing how non-chalant he is after he accomplishing everything. He's very humble, one of the many reason we as Sox fans love him.

Mark is one of the great examples of players succeeding despite long odds. Drafted in the 38th round (1139th overall) out of a community college, makes it to the majors in less than two years, and wins more games in the current decade then almost any other pitcher in baseball. Awesome.

 

Not to mention succeeding despite having some really mediocre stuff. Command and stones go a long way on the mound.

 

To be a good to excellent starting pitcher for that long ... he's one of the top pitchers in franchise history.

Got to love Mark Buehrle.
