Baseball Prospectus White Sox Trade

Featured Replies

Hey Guys! I am a longtime reader and new poster. I was on Baseball Prospectus's website at a buddie's house and saw an article on an interesting trade for the White Sox. I am not a subscriber to Prospectus but the writer listed her 5 trades that SHOULD be made in her opinion, before the deadline. The trade has Miguel Tejada and Luke Scott going to the White Sox for SS Prospect Escobar, Lucas Harrell, and Jhonny Nunez. My first impression was that it would take much more than that from the White Sox end but would be definitely be all for it if possible. Thoughts??

Extremely unrealistic trade...the other trades mentioned are pretty idiotic as well.

They're talking about it right now on the score. I don't think you'd have too many White Sox fans not agreeing to that trade. It does seem a little unrealistic, but who knows what KW has up under his sleeve.

There is no way in hell that's the best offer the Orioles could find for those 2 players, just no way. Luke Scott is having an outstanding season and a few teams have shown interest in Tejada.

That being said, as I remarked earlier: Miguel Tejada would serve no purpose on this club and would be a waste of ~$2.5M.

I can't believe BP would think the White Sox want a 3B that isn't any better than Vizquel or Mark Teahen.
