Harrell Optioned to AAA.

Featured Replies

Yeah, the only big difference between Harrell and Torres' outings was that Torres couldn't get out of the two out jam in the 2nd inning last night and gave up the three extra runs, whereas Harrell was fortunate enough to have a great play made for him by Rios to save him from giving up multiple runs in the 2nd inning in his game. Neither of them seemed to have much of a clue where the ball was going.

I hate to Kotsay up another thread, but Harrell brought way more chemistry that day than Kotsay has all year. Mr. Chemistry my ass.

Too bad Harrell had to get sent down after that win. After winning the opener today, it would have been interesting to see him go out there and try to win his second game in as many starts. He should have had no pressure after the Game One win and his nice win the other day. Instead we got an ineffective and maybe nervous Torres. Rout.

Wouldn't Harrell have been starting on 2 days rest?

I thought he pitched on Friday.

I honestly don't remember. I was thinking that it was Sunday.

After checking, you're right, Harrell started on Friday. That still would have only been 3 days rest though.

Carlos Torres 110 pitches, 65 strikes, 5 walks.

Lucas Harrell 98 pitches, 50 strikes, 5 walks.

He lost that game in the first two innings (and that's when he couldn't throw a strike to save his life). Sure, he settled down when it was already too late.

Yep and that is what seems to be the kicker with our problems is tbhat we can't seem to get out of that one bad inning on occassion and put ourselves in a 3 or 4 or 5 run deficit. After that bad inning the pitchers do good

Harrell was about one pitch better than Torres, plus some great defense. Neither one of them really were that good.

Well yeah, neither one of them are going to be major league players.

What's this? How can you possibly have a thread without a mention of how much Mark Kotsay sucks?

It would not of been too late if we actually had a D.H. who could produce some offense!
