Anthony Carter, Charlie Leesman, Henry Mabee, Jonnie Lowe, Josh Phegley, Eduardo Escobar and Jared Mitchell named to AFL's Peoria Saguaros.

I was right about Escobar and Phegley being promoted so they could be in the AFL. That's a decent group, 4-5 prospects.

Pretty great that Mitchell's healthy enough for AFL.

Mitchell in the AFL. :headbang :headbang :headbang

I'm excited about the hitters we're sending.

I thought the limit was 6 though? Guess not.

If anyone hears anything about who we're sending to the "Junior AFL" that'd be great to hear too.

I think Mabee and Lowe fall into the "let's see if they are really prospects or not" category. There are always a couple of those types sent. The rest are real prospects who either need more field time, and/or the Sox want to see (and show other teams) how they do against high end prospect competition.

Anyone know if they are doing that secondary, younger level AFL thing this year?

very excited to see Mitchell plans on being ready to play, sucks he lost a vast majority of this year, but hopefully he can get some decent work in and be ready in ST

God it would be great if he tore up the AFL like Morel did last year, and then started off '11 in AA.

He's probably penciled in to be starting off 2011 in AA as it is right now anyways.

Is Danks too old for the AFL or does he just need to get healthy?

He doesn't need the AFL.

He needs to get healthy.

Then go back to AAA next year and work on cutting down his strikeouts.

What's wrong with Danks' health?
