GLOAD is GOD
Of the White Sox free agents to be this offseason, who are we likely to offer arbitration to? What status would our free agents earn? What compensation could we get back for some of our guys? Who's a risky bet? All that good stuff.... Obviously, re-signing players comes into play, but if people walk, what are the likely situations?

GLOAD is GOD
Pauly, Jenks, Jones, AJ?
daggins
No, no, no, no. All of them would accept arb because they would earn more than they'd get on the market. Jenks will probably be non-tendered.

bigruss
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 11:29 PM) Offer AJ ...........Jenks your table is ready GO! Ugh, AJ at 6 mill again is such a bad idea. And Jenks at 10 mill is just as bad.
bighurt4life
Jenks no but definitely PK, Putz, Jones, hopefully we can work out a 2 year deal with AJ, if not we need to offer him arb b/c we don't have a viable replacement for him yet. Quin
Putz and maybe Jones. Putz may be a Type B FA, not sure. Jones won't be, but his defense makes him worth a bench spot. PK is going to get a multi year deal and AJ won't be back at his current salary.
Balta1701
I think if it were me...I'd offer PK14 arbitration because I'd take him back at 1/$13 if he wanted that. OTOH...I don't think this organization will offer him arb. They got rid of the "you don't offer a guy arbitration, you can't sign him" rule, correct? As long as we can still immediately sign guys who we don't offer, the only guys it makes sense to extend an offer on are Putz, Jones, and probably Vizquel. I don't know what will happen with Jenks...he might well want to stay...but other teams might still have their interest piqued by his arm and offer him a million or two. No way you offer him arbitration. Putz...I think he'll go. I doubt he has a strong connection here and some team will offer him $4-5 million for bullpen depth/backup closer spot at the least. Konerko...I'm scared he winds up in Minny.
