What do you mean...people in his admin. being corrupt...or people who are corrupt actually being caught?

Because the former, I'm used to.

The former.

Chicago Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel is going to meet his Twitter alter-ego Wednesday to give him a check for $5,000.

Emanuel will meet with the author of the fake @MayorEmanuel Twitter account, which became a sensation during Chicago's mayoral race for its vulgar and almost mythical storyline satirizing the former White House chief of staff. Taking on an almost comic-like storyline, the fake Emanuel went on adventures with former White House adviser David Axelrod, their duck Quaxelrod and their other pet sidekick, Hambone the dog.

Just before the election, Emanuel promised to donate $5,000 to the charity of the author's choice if he came forward.

Heh

"Here's a check and... a court summons."

Rahm really did learn from the best. It was interesting to see there was already a secret slush fund to help out candidates in his corner that he "knew nothing about".

Rahm Emanuel considers cutting City Council seats in half

Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel has broached a touchy subject during private meetings with aldermen to solicit their ideas on budget and ethics reform: cutting the nation’s second-largest City Council in half.

Several aldermen, who asked to remain anonymous, said they were stunned when Emanuel opened the discussion by asking them point-blank, “What do you think about going down to 25 aldermen?”

It was a bold opening line for a mayor-elect who will need every vote he can get to reorganize the Council, pass his programs and solve a budget and pension crisis that literally has Chicago on the brink of bankruptcy.

“I just sat there. I didn’t say a word,” one alderman said.

Another alderman said he did not take offense at Emanuel’s suggestion, even though the idea would threaten half the City Council with extinction.

“He’s challenging the status quo and challenging us to think outside the box. He’s saying, ‘Think of the boldest thing you can think of and let’s talk about it,’ ” the alderman said.

To be fair...I sort of agree. I don't really find that #s always = better representation for the people. New Hampshire has a gigantic state legislature, and for no real reason. Nebraska is unicameral, and functions just as well as many others. You could easily eliminate the upper or lower half of the IL legislature without anyone noticing.
