Found out today that we're getting a generous refund from the IRS, so I'll go ahead and throw the $120 down on MLB.TV. I like the option of being able to watch games archived from earlier in the day.

I remember refunds.

If you're a true baseball fan, trust me, it's worth it. I've got the extra innings package. I get bored with only the White Sox at times. I'm a baseball fan well before I'm a White Sox fan.

I probably wouldn't put down $120 to just watch one team, even if I were a fan out of market. But, if you want to watch baseball whenever it's on, no matter where you are, the price is perfect. I'm definitely a baseball fan before I'm a White Sox fan too.

Watching whatever game or games interest me on a given day, even if the White Sox are playing on broadcast TV, is supremely enjoyable. This is my third year with MLB.tv, and I will say that I've gotten much more use out of it this season via the AppleTV, since it no longer takes up screen real estate or power on my computer.

I have enjoyed the free preview this week so much, I'm really thinking about ordering it. Even just being able to watch the 13-inning marathon between the Angels & freaking Royals was entertaining to me. Just having all that baseball available to watch is awesome.

31 games on WGN this year.

Not including Fox national broadcasts.

Fox broadcasts f*** everything up.

I just downloaded mlb.tv for ps3. Mean. You can select a home or away video feed, and overlay it with a radio broadcast. Goodbye hawk rants. You can even turn off all commentating and just listen to ballpark in game sounds. Only annoyance is the time graphic/dvr on the bottom, anyone know how to get rid of it?

Today's White Sox - Rays game is free on mlb.com, so if you're not yet convinced about mlb.tv, try the free preview today!

um, just to throw this out there but MLB Extra Innings has nothing to do with DirectTV

I have comcast/xfinity and have MLB Extra Innings

I bought MLB.tv long before the season even began. I get 30mb/s down but mine still freezes every minute or so. It was so bad that it took me 3.5 hrs to watch. 2.5 hr game. I tried from my ps3 and my apple tv. Ps3 was better but still borderline unwatchable. I can stream Netflix with zero issues. MLB.tv tells me it must be my connection. Any suggestions?

Edit: this is wired not wireless

What browser do you watch in? I try switching between IE and Firefox sometimes if my stream is wonky.

Also you can try adjusting the video quality to a lower stream (it starts on HD default I think which is the highest).

No browser. I use the ps3 and apple tv apps. It does work much better on my phone and iPad but tv would be ideal.

My download speed is 2.46 Mbps; my upload speed is .11

Will i be fine for mlb?
