Betting on tonight's game...

I'm in Las Vegas and I intend to bet $200 on our Sox tonight. Question is, do I want to spot the A's 1.5 runs or not. If I don't, I expect a return of about $150 on a win, and if I give the run and a half, a return of about $300. What concerns me is facing an unkown called Godfrey. Seems like that often doesn't bode we'll for us. So, just taking a poll on whether or not to give the run and half. Thanks for input.

If you're doing it for the fun, just go for the win. Never want the Sox to win and me to be pissed.

Strategically, I doubt that the oddsmakers know the Sox and their struggles against rookies as well as we do, so I'd bet that history suggests the Sox would underperform.

I feel like our offense is getting on track and is going to put up some runs tonight.

The A's have lost 10 straight and I don't expect them to come out of it against a guy like Jackson unless Edwin simply can't get the ball over the plate. He's not been particularly sharp the last two outings so I sort of expect him to be tonight.

I'd be tempted to take the Sox minus the runs and hope for the bigger score.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 07:07 PM)
I played a $40 parlay on the Sox and the Rangers. $40 to win $147.

I don't feel confident about this Sox game at all though.

That was a really sick sweat in the top of the 7th. I definitely feel good about us winning, let's just please not allow anymore runs. If we win, I'm gonna eat the best dinner I've ever had, or at least most expensive. :)

Good call parlaying with the Rangers btw. Wish I had thought of that.
