He was a QB at Pittsburgh (surprise that he was drafted by the Sox) before playing baseball. So that's why he is old. But he has got terrific power, great defensively and top-notch make-up.

I was born in 1988. :(

And that's what I like to hear about my AAPs!! :headbang

I think he's the same age as Josh Phegley. Nice to see the Sox draft catches and hopeful some will develop into something!

Carlos Sanchez

2-2, 2B, 3 BB tonight for Bristol. Turns 19 in 8 days. 41 BB in 156 AB last year in DSL. Granted, the pitchers are wild in that league so who knows what that means. Could be worth following.

41/26 BB-to-K ratio is dirty in any league. Definitely a guy to watch. Really young with great discipline already is nice to see. Obviously we'll know more after his Rookie-ball season.

Was just going to post this. I'm going to follow him for sure.

Not a good second game for the Voyagers, no way to put a sugar coating on a 17-1 loss. Qualon Millender was the offensive star again last night going 2 for 4 with a double and a single. As the lead off hitter, he's started the first two games with a triple and a double. Joseph De Pinto also went 2 for 4 with an RBI. As for the pitchers Kevin Vance pitched one inning of relief giving up one hit and striking out three. On the other side of the pitching spectrum was Kevin Rath who pitched a third of an inning giving up 2 walks, three hits, and 6 earned runs equaling an ERA of 162. Ouch!

Harry Truman for me. To put it in White Sox perspective, Luke Appling was still playing and Nellie Fox was in his first year with the White Sox. :D

I guess 30 ain't so bad then.

Axelrod transitioning to AAA pretty well in his 2 starts so far. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear more about him as the year goes on.

Milledge is quietly putting together a solid season in AAA. So that's option number 2 of people the Sox have rotting in Charlotte who could take over for Pierre and be better....

Thanks to a solid May and a fantastic June. He really started the season poorly, but he is definitely coming around.

Quentin - Milledge - Viciedo

Ah, one can dream.... May not be pretty defensively, but an offensive upgrade for sure...

You would seriously take Milledge over Rios? I mean come on, this reactionary stuff is getting ridiculous. Milledge has shown he's marginal at the major league level even as a part time player, his D was bad even on the corners, and the defense in that OF with him in CF would be atrocious.

That might be the worst defensive outfield in the history of the game.
