(Sorry Flaxx) Most models have Katia taking a turn towards the north and passing well east of the US. However, you never know. It's forecasted to slow down in forward speed, and when that happens figuring where it goes becomes more difficult. I remember a storm a few years back that just dawdled around in the Atlantic for a few days, actually making a loop. I'm going to have to look that one up... There is a blob of "Tropical development" happening just West of Florida right now. No real threat to the NE, it would have to cross all the landmass. Here is Katia. This one is virtually guaranteed to become a major hurricane within the next few days. Whether it reaches the shores of the U.S. as one is too far out to guess.
