Viciedo hits 3-run opposite field homer off Texas prospect Perez

Did he hit another one?

Stewart has just been MEEEHHHHHHHHHH ever since we acquired him.

Other than those outings against the weakened Twins' line-ups, he has looked more like a bullpen arm with 2 slightly above average pitches than a starter.

Maybe he'd be better off throwing in the mid 90's for one or two innings.

Yup, two dingers for Viciedo today vs AAA.

Beckham looks like the exact same player as last year.

There's still time man I hope he finally gets it together. :(

Yeah, Beckham and Morel looked much better earlier in the spring.

As usual, we score 2-3-4 early runs and then the offense shuts down and the pitchers let the other team back into the game. Rongey and Melton are right about one thing, we just haven't had the killer instinct, especially at home, to put our foot on the neck of our opponents and just crush them like we used to do from 2003-2008 when we got off to an early lead.

Our bullpens have been pretty good, it's mostly been the falloff in offense and lack of consistency.

Escobar puts down a great bunt. Ball thrown away, and he's standing on third.

I'm sold.

3 homers, 7 RBI for Viciedo so far in minor league game - WOW

Eduardo Escobar is hitting .500 this spring.

The question is, can he keep that up for the whole year.

De Aza is having a nice spring as well.

on first pitch he fouled off, he looked as quick to an inside pitch as I have seen him in a white sox uniform - definitely looked like a completely different player during that entire AB

you called that one.

AJ yard.

Back-to-Back. AJ hits a laser out into the bullpen

...and AJ homers!

Peavy 6 scoreless. 71 pitches.

At this point its probably Chen throwing batting practice :)

Fun game. In those appreciate the game commercials, watch the players hands. You can tell how nervous they are. Crain is the worst I've see. Hawks gota really twitchy right thumb as well...

South Side Sox ‏ @SouthSideSox

Adam Dunn has twice as many extra-base hits against left-handed pitching today as he did all of last year.

Beckham's swing looks TERRIBLE. Jeez... Buzzkill to that awesome inning..

Peavy is done.

6.1 innings

If he wasn't a plus defender, he'd be on his way to the minors.

3-base error puts Escobar on third, but holy crap that dude was hustling.

Possible mancrush forming.
