June 5, 201213 yr That's cause they don't have any parking lots. Which, for those of you wondering, is why they continue to outdraw the White Sox. Even for how reprehensible and bland it is Wrigleyville is an urban nightlife area that draws in a ton of people. A railyard, residential neighborhood and sea of concrete isn't going to offer that kind of post-game experience that many people want. As Bridgeport keeps gentrifying though I'd expect to see the lots start shrinking and shrinking as businesses want to get closer to the park.
June 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (bighurt574 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 11:14 AM) It's baffling to me that Bulls parking is cheaper than Sox parking (maybe the other lots around the UC keep the Bulls more honest).bulls have $27 parking.
June 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 05:43 PM) That is private parking........................Cubs have nothing close to $42.00 parking that is Cub owned Mr. Fact. when you go to buy tickets on cubs.com, they offer parking as you checkout. there is a $42 parking option.
June 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) bulls have $27 parking. Which would make it almost double the cost of White Sox parking.
June 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 12:31 PM) when you go to buy tickets on cubs.com, they offer parking as you checkout. there is a $42 parking option. Jesus...how would you know such a thing?!?!?!
June 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (Tuna @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 01:36 PM) Jesus...how would you know such a thing?!?!?! they happened to play an al central team a few weeks ago.
June 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 01:58 PM) they happened to play an al central team a few weeks ago. There are other options...
June 6, 201213 yr QUOTE (Tuna @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 03:15 PM) There are other options...if you are referring to "other options" as in parking or transportation, yes. I know know that. I didnt say I BOUGHT the parking. the same "other options" to get to wrigley exist for sox park. in fact, the other options for sox park are better. two cta lines within 3 blocks of gate 5, one metra line within 2 blocks of gate 5 come to mind. only the red line is that close to wrigley. the metra is at ravenswood, and the brown line is at southport.
June 6, 201213 yr So is this deal still going on? I can't find anything anywhere online mentioning $5 tickets.
June 6, 201213 yr QUOTE (coco1997 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 10:46 AM) So is this deal still going on? I can't find anything anywhere online mentioning $5 tickets. NO where special is needed. Just go to the Sox website and click the link for tonights tickets. Look around the top of the upper deck and they are there. I just checked.
June 6, 201213 yr QUOTE (coco1997 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 10:46 AM) So is this deal still going on? I can't find anything anywhere online mentioning $5 tickets. http://www.whitesox.com/tourism for 1/2 price tickets upstairs AND downstairs Edited June 6, 201213 yr by ewokpelts
June 7, 201213 yr Are there no 5 dollar seats today? The official site says 10 dollar upper reserved now, said 5 last night.
June 7, 201213 yr QUOTE (Iguchicago @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 03:07 PM) Are there no 5 dollar seats today? The official site says 10 dollar upper reserved now, said 5 last night. Did they sell them all? It was pretty crowded up there yesterday.
June 7, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 03:08 PM) Did they sell them all? It was pretty crowded up there yesterday.they made the entire upper reserved sections $10. but there is not much left of the original "$5" seats. but remember, you can still get 1/2 off lower level tix with the code TOURISM at http://www.whitesox.com/tourism
June 9, 201213 yr Averaged 24,840 this series. 2,630 more per game than the weekend series against Seattle. $5 tickets bring fans out to the park? #whoknew
June 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 10:09 AM) Averaged 24,840 this series. 2,630 more per game than the weekend series against Seattle. $5 tickets bring fans out to the park? #whoknew That doesn't mean they made more money during that series...
June 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 12:06 PM) That doesn't mean they made more money during that series... Isn't your usual statement here to reference the parking lots?
June 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) That doesn't mean they made more money during that series...butt in seat is worth more than butt not in seat.
June 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 12:42 PM) butt in seat is worth more than butt not in seat. So they should sell each seat for a nickel, as it's worth more than a butt not in the seat.
June 9, 201213 yr Author QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 05:54 AM) So they should sell each seat for a nickel, as it's worth more than a butt not in the seat. Well, the Cubs have some seats going for a penny, as do the Yankees. When you consider the person is more than likely going to buy a concession item of some sort, that nickel seat is worth a lot more than $0.00. Some of them are going to buy a souvenir item or pay for parking.
June 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 11:56 PM) That's crazy you can't leave the upper deck once you are in the upper deck. Stupid. Blame the guy in Dick Allen's avatar.
June 9, 201213 yr QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 01:38 PM) I've come to the conclusion it's a Bear's town. which Bear is it?
June 9, 201213 yr Stubhub has Sox - Brewers tix starting at $25 for nosebleeds. Ridiculous. I'll wait until a couple days before the games and see if the prices drop.
June 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 12:42 PM) butt in seat is worth more than butt not in seat. The difference being a decent amount of people could have gone for full price.
June 10, 201213 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) The difference being a decent amount of people could have gone for full price. Which people are you referring to? The stadium is a ghost town these days.
