Reed can't put anyone away. You would have thought his fastball be stronger after the break.

Sure seems like he should have been playing deeper. Reed has got to become more than just a fastball pitcher.

 

All of our relievers becomes fastball only late in games. They are not calling their own pitches.

The truth is he's not gonna be what we thought he was, but still can be more than just an avg. ML 2nd basemen. He's got the glove, the attitude, the number (15) to be a stud. His bat is a bonus if it ever becomes consistent. Growing pains man. He's done everything we've asked of him since coming up.

 

He's a bad player. It's difficult to accept because he has the pedigree and the attitude to be good, and physically he just looks like he SHOULD be a ballplayer. But he's nearly 26 years old, has over 1600 MLB at at bats, and his career OBP is .313.

 

He's a bad player.
