September 4, 201213 yr White Sox 70.5% Tigers 46.8% Jumped back up just with that one game...White Sox with easiest schedule remaining, 4 games at home
September 4, 201213 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 03:39 AM) White Sox 70.5% Tigers 46.8% Jumped back up just with that one game...White Sox with easiest schedule remaining, 4 games at home I don't know if that has been mentioned but if we finish the season tied with the Tiggs and the Wildcard teams have more wins then us (which they do right now) then we have a one game tiebreaker in Detroit. They have already won the head to head series since they are up 10-4 with 4 games left. Better hold onto this division lead and grow it!

September 6, 201213 yr Strange how the Sox have missed Hochevar the entire season except for (iirc) the first series of the season

September 9, 201213 yr If the Sox go up 3 tomorrow and then immediately piss it away, so help me.... These next 5 days are going to be interesting to say the least. I'm not thrilled with the play of the Sox the last couple weeks, but the division is the division. Just gotta hope for the best the next few weeks.

September 9, 201213 yr Magic number is the combination of games the Sox have to win, plus the number of games the Tigers have to lose for the Sox to win the division, right?

September 9, 201213 yr http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings Sox trailing the Rangers (99%) and then barely behind the Yankees (75.9%), at 3rd best chance of making the playoffs in the AL. Edited September 9, 201213 yr by caulfield12
September 9, 201213 yr Author QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 01:54 AM) http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings Sox trailing the Rangers (99%) and then barely behind the Yankees (75.9%), at 3rd best chance of making the playoffs in the AL. I hate the fact that those playoff percentages don't givet he Orioles a chance. I don't care about their run differential anymore, they have been doing it for 130+ games, who is to say they can't do it for 25 more.

September 12, 201213 yr 72.5% SOX 30.5% Tigers That will change by 20% though, if we lose the next two games in a row...as DET probably does have the schedule advantage down the stretch, as we have to face the red hot A's and don't play the Royals well (5-10).
