Getting to meet Hawk at a game

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals. In early April, my daughter wants to bring some friends and have her 12th birthday party at the Cell. She's a total Sox nut.

I'm already going to do the scoreboard message and was wondering if anyone knew how I could get word in to the booth and see if she/they could meet Hawk and Stoney while we are at that game? Is it just an email/call to the Sox offices? Or is it something that can't really happen?

Any help is appreciated.

No idea on actually getting in there. Did run into Wimpy in the bullpen sports bar area about 15 years ago (before it was open to the field).

I would start with the PR people in the Sox organization. I doubt the odds are very good for it happening, but you can always try.

We took a friend of our family, who was dying of prostate cancer, through something like that in 04. I didnt set it up so not sure how but we met Hawk, DJ, Rooney, and Farmer in press box. White Sox organization was great.

This is your best resource. Especially if you have extra cash lying around. I think Martha Black is the person you need to speak with. And I think you can customize experiences as well.

This is the right person at CWS to contact. My son had his 12th at the Cell as well a couple of years ago. Warning - it will cost you $$ to do this.

Everything always costs $$.

Does he have a twitter? Tweet him that you have a bottle of johnnie walker blue label with his name on it.. I bet he'll let you sit on steve stone's chair for the entire game.

My cousin met Chip Caray (?) walking around in club level before the game.

I don't know where they park, but I am pretty sure you can wait outside for the Hawkster to leave.

Hawk hilarious here talking about his wish to die whilst commentating (from 6:50): Hawk interview

Granted, this doesn't help your daughter to meet him in the slightest...
