Game Thread 5/20: BOS @ SOX

Featured Replies

Keppinger has been hitting a little better lately. I wonder if there is anything with Beckham playing SS tonight other than to get hi some ABs.

Way to pick them up DV.

The league is gonna just pitch around him. RV should move him up but he won't.

He reminds me of a good hitting 8th hitter in the NL.

The holes in this lineup are miles deep...

Kep cannot do any damage.

Gillaspie-Soptic

Forgot about that one. Was Gillaspie technically a major leaguer when he was traded?

And this seems like a tough lineup compared to two weeks ago

Tey have 6 runs in 5 innings vs a guy who has dominated the rest of the league this year. The bats are coming around.

Salty owns DA tonight.

Alexei has had quite a night for himself with the leather.

My lord I can't wait for Becks to return on defense.

Could be a factor in the decision to keep Greene or Sanchez as the backup infielder.

DA thru 6 so far.

Just saw a stunning stat that Konerko hasn't popped up on the infield this season.

Sanchez is a little better than Greene as a SS, but Greene is no stranger to that position, and everything I have read makes him average there, so for a back up who can hit lefties, Greene would be my choice.

Gomes got fat.

Maybe someone told him Beckham is playing SS in Charlotte tonight.

Lester at 99 pitches

Greene has a fairly negative UZR at every position that he's played more than 25 innings. Doesn't pass the eye test either.

He has been pretty bad at 2nd. I just don't know what Sanchez really brings to the table. Greene can hit lefties.

Sanchez never made any sense to me.

I don't think they would have brought him in had Greene already been acquired.

MT continues to walk guys.

I hate that the strike zone tightens up with a guy like Ortiz in the box.
