Arod legacy

Featured Replies

So with his suspension, and maybe pending suspension, what is his MLB legacy right now? Is he still a Hall of Famer? One of the greatest hitters of all-time?

He has no prayer of making the HOF the way things are now.

He was a great player, and like Bonds, probably would have been an all time great HOFer without PEDs, but if this thing is accurate, he, IMO has zero shot at the HOF.

He was supposedly a physical freak back in high school.

Which leaves me wondering whether him being a physical freak is an accident of genetics or a miracle of modern chemistry.

High schoolers in the 90's had plenty of things available to them to turn them into athletic freaks.

He goes down as a punch-line just like Barry. No one will ever consider anything he did worthy of discussion without first talking about PEDs and being too big a dumb oaf to stop.

Let's remind ourselves of how much of a piece of s*** A-Rod was, is, and continues to be.

Never used PEDs.

Only used them once.

Piece of s*** idiot meathead who has been on a consistent drip of steroids and PEDs as long as he's been in the bigs. He was caught in 2003 and continued to use them. He's caught again. He's an idiot and a disgrace.

Several seasons ago, when Bonds cheated and broke the home run record, I remember people saying how they couldn't wait for Arod to break it so the record would be clean again. Yeah right. I could not believe that anyone could be so sure that Arod was clean.

You can't be sure anyone is clean. Frank Thomas says he didn't take them, and he most likely didn't, but passed tests and saying you are not taking them is hardly proof. Bo Jackson sued and either won or received a settlement after being accused of using PEDs. That doesn't prove anything either. Liberace won 2 lawsuits he initiated when a couple of magazines said he was gay.

He'll be crying all the way to the bank, I'm sure.

Legacy shmegacy. The biggest scumbags are the guys getting caught post 2004. They really have no excuse.

I hope they do let these guys into the hall of fame but only as porcelain engravings in the urinals and toilets. "Step right up and take a piss in the Sosa or if you have to poo go in the Clemens sir." -Ctown bathroom attendant

The knock on him was always that he wasn't clutch, then had that monstrous postseason in 2009 and should have forever been loved by Yankees fans. Oops, so much for that.
