Would like to see Castro or Rienzo get the next shot in the bullpen/spot starter/long man.

Doubt we'll see Johnson before August/September unless there's another injury.

Yeah, I was just about to post that I think Castro ultimately ends up in the pen where his fastball/slider combo will be much more effective. I'm fine with him getting the innings in AAA, but I don't see him as a starter in the majors.

MILB.com is being odd for me.

Charlotte: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?g...ox&sid=milb

Phegley hits another homer. Excellent start for Castro.

Hawkins 1/3, 2B, 0Ks.

Kanny and Bham postponed.

I was having issues with milb.com as well, but the Barons did play a doubleheader.

Showed as PPD for me. Thanks!

Wow, Barons drew eleven walks in the first game (7 innings).

Not a great start for Erik Johnson.

Keenyn Walker drew 2 BB, stole his 21st.

Walker went 2/3 in the second game, Daniel Webb having a nice year out of the pen. Got an ERA under 0.90 on the year, K/9 above 9.00, and a WHIP under 1.00.

I think Carlos Sanchez has a 60 game hitting streak of just 1 hit, never 2 or 3 or 4 or 0, but always just 1 single.

I know you are just kidding, but in his last 10 games, he has only come away with 1 hit 4 out of 10 times.

0 hits - 2 times

1 hit - 4 times

2 hits - 3 times

And then one of the games he had no ABs. Must have pinch-ran or something.

Check out Phegley's splits. Pretty much the same guy vs RHP and LHP

I was looking at that the other day. I went into it expecting a decent difference.

I'd really like to see what he can do, even though at one point I was a Flowers supporter.

I'm in the same boat. I still think Flowers can be a decent bat, but it's just not happening right now. You have to keep Flowers just because he's young and still offers killer power, so that means you have to DFA Gimenez (and people will get upset over losing a 30 year old backup catcher who, up to this point, has been a career minor leaguer).
